The CSC Guitar Ensemble is a 1 credit class where students meet together to refine technical skills such as note-reading, improvisation, timing, and intonation. Students are able to participate in both on and off campus performances every semester. Repertoire comes from a variety of genres, including blues, jazz and rock. Additionally, each semester concentrates on learning new musicianship skills, such as using music notation software to arrange music, learning to transcribe guitar solos, miking amps and recording techniques, and guitar setup and repair. The ensemble is open to both music major and non-major students who play guitar or bass.
